San Francisco letterpress and printmaking artist, Mr. Eddie Lee, will be showing his recent work at the Dependable Letterpress Negative Space Gallery from Dec. 1, 2017, throughJanuary 31, 2018. Show opening event will be on Dec 8th, 2018 The Recent Work show will be focused on The Racism series.

This series of prints were produced in 2017. The series reflects the recent political and human conditions, especially affecting the minority community. As an artist, Mr. Lee like to bring some attention to this
issue and do his part as an artist.

Mr. Lee has been making prints for over 25 years. Starting out as a letterpress printer, He has been printing with linoleum cut, soft point and monotype technique for the last several years. Most recently developed a new technique, using sheet magnets.

Eddie’s work explores the human emotions., try to capture moments of human connections and sometimes venture into greater social conditions. He frequently incorporates musical motives into his prints expressing rhythm, scale, phases, and tones through proportion and color.
Mr. Lee’s work has been shown in various galleries including the Arc gallery, Marin Society of Artists and the Graphic Arts Workshop gallery, The Telegraph Hill Gallery. His work is included in the Kala Institute Consignment Collection.

Mr. Lee studied art and design at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and Massachusetts college of art for his BFA and yale university. He is the founder and creative director of Square Two Design, a graphic design firm in San Francisco. Visit www.eddiehslee.com to explore more.
